Canal City - Cape Coral
Geographical location
A city in Florida, Hollywood is the second-largest city in Florida (area of 2.98 km2), located at 26°38′23′′N, 81°58′57′′W (26.639600,-81.982471).
It covers 105.19 square miles (272.4 km2) of land and 9.91 square miles (25.7 km2) of water (8.61%).
There are four quadrants in the City: NW, NE, SW, and SE. Santa Barbara Blvd. separates the East from the West, while Embers Pkwy. / Hancock Bridge Pkwy. It separates the North and the South. A grid of streets is also built around these locations.
Some of the canals in the City lead to the Gulf of Mexico, while others lead to local lakes. The canals are lined with homes, many of which have docks or boat lifts. You can catch fish in the canals by using lures that run deep. Some of the fish include Crevalle Jack, catfish, and Mullet.
Cape Coral Parkway connects to College Parkway in Fort Myers by the Cape Coral Bridge. Veterans Parkway and Colonial Boulevard, also in Fort Myers, are linked by the Midpoint Memorial Bridge. After crossing Santa Barbara Boulevard, Hancock Bridge Parkway extends north to its approximate terminus at Pine Island Road; the east end of Hancock Bridge Parkway ends at U.S. Highway 41.

Every year there are 335 sunny days in Southwest Florida and Cape Coral (the other 30 are mostly cloudy). While the summers in Southwest Florida are very hot, humid, and rainy, the winters in Cape Coral are absolutely beautiful.

Event Calendar
It holds an Independence Day fireworks festival every year known as Red, White & BOOM! It is the largest single-day event in the city and one of the largest displays in Southwest Florida.
Every October, the German-American Club holds an Oktoberfest in the style of the original Oktoberfest in Germany. This takes place since 1985.
